Rozendaal v. Landingin, 2013 BCSC 24.

Ms. Rozendaal suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck and shoulder area with headaches, as a result of two separate motor vehicle accidents. Ms. Rozendaal was pursuing her dream to become a licensed practical nurse but her injuries interfered with her course work and practicum. She had just completed the course at the time of trial.

ICBC denied that Ms. Rozendaal suffered significant injuries in the motor vehicle accidents and also denied that her career would be affected by her injuries, despite the physical demands of nursing. Three years after the second accident, ICBC offered $17,000. The Judge awarded $97,941 and this included $50,000 for future wage loss and $7,500 for future cost of care.
