Kuras v. Repo, 2014 BCSC 1634.

Ms. Kuras suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck, upper and low back with migraine headaches, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Ms. Kuras was pursuing her dream to become a registered practical nurse but her injuries interfered with her course work and practicum. She had just completed the course at the time of trial.

ICBC denied that Ms. Kuras suffered significant injuries in the motor vehicle accident due to the minimal damage to her vehicle. ICBC also denied that her career would be affected by her injuries, despite the physical demands of nursing. The Judge awarded $206,177 and this included $107,500 for future wage loss.
