Namena Marine Reserve – Chimneys:
Max Depth: 20m

Level: Intermediate
Type of Dive: Pinnacle live boat dive (1.5 hours from our Savasi marina - full day trip in conjunction with another Namena dive or 20 minutes from our Namena Island Marina)

Description: World class diving is to be found at Namena. On this macro and invertebrate dive two soft coral covered bommies are split by a 40 metre break which means you can spiral down the first pinnacle at your leisure try some shark and garden eel spotting on the ocean floor and explore 2x rocky features with lots of life, then spiral up the second bommie. The brilliant soft corals are dazzling and the small marine life abundant and equally as colourful and diverse as the corals. "There was too much to look at! "

Chimmneys should be high on the list of must do’s in life. Veteran divers often rate it as their best dive ever in all their years of diving.

Diving tourists  have been exploring the rich reefs of Namena for almost 30 years, finding healthy, colourful soft and hard coral reefs and abundant fish life. Owing to its healthy reef ecosystems and the abundance of its fish biodiversity, divers have named Namena “the mecca of diving in Fiji.”

This small island 20 miles to the south of Savusavu is surrounded by mile after mile of unexplored reefs. Seemingly bottomless drop-offs, multi-colored soft corals and perfect coral gardens support an abundance of marine life. This is the place to see the big fish cruising in from the depths of the Koro Sea. Barracuda, spanish mackerel, dog-tooth tuna, mantas and large sharks regularly patrol these reefs.   Call us to find out more about all the sites and to plan your dream dive with us.

Namena Marine Reserve – Grand Central Station:
Max Depth: 30m

Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Type of Dive: Drift (1.25 hours from the marina - full day trip in conjunction with another Namena dive)

Description: A premiere dive site, and as its name suggests, this site is full of comings and goings down the wall! Multitudes of  grey reef and white tip sharks and even the occasional scalloped hammer head. Huge wrasse, tuna, barracuda and snapper. At times it’s hard to know where to look as there is so much to look at! If you’re into pelagics you’ve gotta do this dive!

Namena Marine Reserve – Blue Ribbon:
Max Depth: 25m

Level: Intermediate
Type of Dive: Drift (1.75 hours from the marina - full day trip in conjunction with another Namena dive)

Description: Another premiere dive site, involving 2 main pinnacles and several lower features. On this macro and invertebrate dive two soft coral covered bommies are split by a 50 metre break which means you can spiral down the first pinnacle at your leisure then swim to the second coral head, spiral up the second, interspersing it with checking out the lower features surrounding the coral head, and of course the garden eels between the features. Included is the highlight, sighting the  blue ribbon eel. The brilliant soft corals are dazzling and the small marine life abundant and equally as colorful and diverse as the corals. Often we will give divers the opportunity to save a few bar and we'll drop in on this site after doing Chimneys and Grand Central for a look at the Blue Ribbon Eel, in effect providing you with 3 dives.
